Study of gas reactions in a chemical oxygen-iodine laser
Generation of singlet oxygen for a chemical oxygen-iodine laser
Čenský, Miroslav ; Jirásek, Vít ; Špalek, Otomar ; Kodymová, Jarmila ; Hrubý, Jan
The paper deals with a chemical spray singlet oxygen generator for a chemical oxygen-iodine laser that was designed in the Institute of Physics AS in cooperation with the Institute of Thermomechanics AS. Preliminary experimental results obtained on parametric investigation of this device are presented.
Psychorheology of ketchup
Štern, Petr ; Pokorný, J. ; Panovská, Z. ; Šedivá, A. ; Vykutilová, T.
A series of twelve ketchups picked up at the Czech markets was analysed at the temperatures 230C and 450C. There were determined the basic rheological characteristics (static yield stress, apparent viscosity, thixotropy, and viscoelasticity) using a rotational rheometer RheoStress 300 (TermoHaake Karlsruhe, Germany) and textural properties using sensor analysis. With the help of correlation of rheological and sensorical data there were derived close functional dependencies with large values of correlation coefficients.

Machovič, Vladimír ; Kopecký, L. ; Němeček, J. ; Kolář, František ; Svítilová, Jaroslava ; Andertová, J.
The Raman microspectroscopy mapping technique, nanoindentation and environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM) in combination with microanalysis (EDX), and electron diffraction (EBSD-OIM)were successfully used to study of the interfacial transition zone (ITZ) around polyethylene terephtalate (PET) reinforcement in concrete.

Ageing of poly(ethylene terephthalate) fibers in cement based composite in on mechanical properties of the composite has been studied.
Carbonation mud from sugar industry as a filler
Šárka, E. ; Bubník, Z. ; Kotek, Jiří ; Kruliš, Zdeněk ; Picka, M. ; Milichovský, M.
Industrial application of carbonation mud is feasible especially in the area of plastic or paper recycling. Indeed, filling of recycled polymers or cartons by commercial calcium carbonate fillers is limited by economic aspects and the esthetic requirements for recycled materials (e.g. color) are adequately lower.
Compatibilization effects on flow properties of immiscible polystyrene-polyolefin blends
Mikešová, Jana ; Starý, Zdeněk ; Kruliš, Zdeněk
The influence of mixed compatibilizers (mixtures of styrene-butadiene triblock copolymer with ethene-propene random copolymer on flow and mechanical properties of polystyrene/low-density polyethylene and polystyrene/polypropylene blends was studied and compared with the effects of SBS copolymers.
N2O Decomposition over Promoted Mixed Oxide Catalysts.
Galejová, K. ; Obalová, L. ; Pacultová, K. ; Lacný, Z. ; Kovanda, F. ; Jirátová, Květa
Mixed oxide Co-Mn-Al catalysts were promotes by metals Pd, Pt, La, K and Ce. In simulated proces conditions (in the presence of O2, NO, NO2, H2O) catalytic activity, as well as thein regeneration was studied. The most active catalyst is that one with 3 wt. % K.
Catalytic Reduction of N2O Emissions.
Obalová, L. ; Kovanda, F. ; Jirátová, Květa ; Pacultová, K.
Effect of mixed oxides prepared by decomposition of hydrotalcite precursors was studied in decomposition of N2O. In simulated proces conditions (presence of O2, NO, NO2, H2O) their activity and long-term stability was examined. The most active catalyst was that with 3 wt. % K.
